will Celebrate its 102nd Anniversary on June 1, 2020




The Rotary Club of Bluefield, West Virginia was organized April 13, 1918, and was the first service club in Bluefield. It became active on June 1, 1918 when a committee from the Huntington, W. Va. Rotary Club delivered charter No. 393 of the International Association of Rotary Clubs, now Rotary International.


The Rotary Club of Bluefield, West Virginia is Club Number 5704, and is part of Rotary District 7545, Zone 33.

Service Projects:


September 26:  Rotary Rally


Early October (date to be determined): Blessings In A Backpack-meet at Trinity UMC to pack the backpacks.


November 2:  Serve at the Veterans Breakfast (Princeton)


October/November:  Roadside Clean-up with BJ Bauer


December (we can choose which Saturday if we want): Salvation Army Bell Ringing –Walmart


December (date to be determined): Little Jimmy Shopping


January/February:  Party at Maples


February/March:  assist Blfd. State College and Rotaract Club with their “Business Start-up (Shark Tank Style) competition”


June: (possibly) serve Bluefield Baseball Children’s Club Breakfast


Spring:  work with several Blfd. High School senior boys...invite them to a lunch meeting to help them become more comfortable with businesspeople/ allow them to practice interviews with several of our members (either for college or for jobs)/ donate to them a dress shirt and tie...and teach them to tie that tie!  Details to be added

Meetings are held in the Theater at the Bluefield Area Arts Center in downtown Bluefield, West Virginia at noon on Tuesdays.
